as many of you may know, my dad was diagnosed with parkinson’s disease in 2004. i’ve been putting it off for years, but this year will be different. join me and my family in the 16th annual parkinson’s unity walk on saturday, april 24th [rain or shine], in central park at 72nd street. 100% of the donations go to parkinson’s disease research.
registration is open from 10am to 2pm, booths open from 10am to 3pm, the program starts at 12:25pm, and the two mile walk starts immediately after at 1pm.
if you’d like to register as a walker or make a donation to the team [for the love of cecil.], please do so in honor of my dad.
i digress from revising my english paper on my way to the office to vent these thoughts about my critique.
"this is a political science paper, and not a paper comparing and analyzing the literature." — professor wu.
seriously? i’m in her office, as she’s speaking, thinking this bitch must be crazy! yes, my last english class was three years ago, but my professor was dr. williams— a damn great professor and one of the best in the department; she concured. but to say my statements are only there to support my argument about racism and discrimination, and not to develop my thoughts on the pieces* read is straight bull shit.
getting off the train.
