first tattoo, done at Memento Mori in Sydney, Australia, done by Jamie.. The parlour is owned by my cousin c:  the reason for the breast cancer symbol is my nan passed away with breast cancer and the swallow is now representing the freedom she is given.

Blooming lotus flower done by Jodi at Tattoo Factory in Chicago, IL

The lotus flower grows in the mud, and I see it as a sign of beauty emerging from hardship. It also symbolizes purity of heart, faithfulness, eternity, and spiritual awakening. These things are especially important to me at this point in my life, and the ohm ties them together as both a meditative mantra and symbol for the omnipresent reality and love energy that I believe to be our source and sustaining life force. The ohm is this universal energy pushing the beauty of the flower up through the mud in which the flower grows. Essentially, this piece represents love blooming within me :)
